An independent publication
This is not Universal’s official website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Universal Destinations & Experiences, Comcast or NBCUniversal. Our name describes the subject of the guide; it does not imply official status.
How we use sources
We prioritise Universal’s announcements, government records, transport operators and the Met Office. Reports from other publications are attributed. “Confirmed” means supported by an official source; future targets and proposals can still change. “Rumour” means the claim has not been confirmed by Universal in the material reviewed.
The timeline uses event or report dates. Source publication dates are recorded separately on each story. When only a month is supplied, we show only that month; the entry is sorted at the start of the month. Our own publication and review dates are distinct from historical event dates.
This is a curated starting record of major milestones, not an exhaustive planning-document archive. Older reports stay available to show how the story developed. A newer claim is added with its own date instead of silently rewriting history.
Reviews and corrections
This launch edition was researched and reviewed on 17 September 2026. Updates are editorial, not automatic. Each item links to its source so readers can inspect the original and spot later changes. Corrections should preserve the original event date and record what changed and when.
Travel and weather
Rail and airport information describes present connections, not guaranteed opening-year services. Packing suggestions are our editorial advice. Weather figures are historical station averages, not a forecast.
